RIVERSIDE MEDICAL TAKES ON NEW ADDITIONAL WAREHOUSE FACILITY
Derby, UK. 13th July 2023
Riverside Medical Packaging has today proudly taken possession of a further 16,000 sq. ft of brandnew
warehousing space on Dunstall Park Road, Derby. This is less than one mile from the head office
and main manufacturing site.
Over the next 3 months this unit will be fitted out with a high specification two storey 2,600 sq. ft
office block including meeting rooms, administration/sales offices, sample room and canteens.
The new unit will become the raw material and finished goods hub for Riversides’ AMD Division
(Aseptic Medical Devices). The administration and sales teams will be located here along with
dedicated warehouse staff.
Formed in 2014, AMD manufacture and provide medical devices in a format designed exclusively for
the production of aseptically manufactured parenterals.
Under a BSI accredited quality management system, Riverside contract pack and manufacture
packaging for single use medical devices in twelve dedicated certified clean room cells.
Riversides’ 40 years’ experience in the medical packaging industry has been drawn upon to develop
the PeroxyClear and PeroxyMet material technology used for AMD’s innovative primary packaging.
AMD Pouches are qualified and validated for gamma sterilisation and compatible with VHP, Alcohol
and Hypochlorite/Hypochlorous Acid transfer processes used by Compounders and NHS pharmacies.
AMD has seen rapid growth since it’s inception. The new facility gives a foundation to continue and
accelerate this for years to come.
